The worst customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Whole Foods has good food. This location is VERY BADLY RUN.

The worst are the customer service people -- at the self-checkout and when you go through the aisles.

The people working behind the counters (seafood, meat etc.) are all fine and the people restocking are very helpful

but the ACTUAL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC.

The worst are all women. Here are a few monsters to be aware of:

1. red haired woman (probably dyed hair) looks mannish at the self-checkout with glasses sometimes. She will bark at you.

Always bad tempered and always gossiping with other staff and always rude. You can count on her being rude

2. Mexican/Latin American woman with a thick accent who is very rude. Also at the "self checkout"

Then there are the people with the attitude when you are checking out.

No grocery store do they behave so badly.

All of them need to be retrained. These first two should be fired.

They are so rude to people.

Why would anyone put up with this? Buying groceries is not torture.

There are also some weird people hanging out in the parking lot.

Every employee has to be retrained and the worst ones like these two, thrown out.

I was smeared and banned

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Whole Foods Market - I was smeared and banned
Original review Sep 08, 2024

This is my issue. I worked at Whole Foods Brooklyn as an Amazon shopper, from August 2019 to August 2022, when the position ended.

I also live a 5 minute walk away from this location, so it was the place where I did my shopping.

Basically, unknow to me during my 3 years as an employee, this chubby cashier guy in a leadership position didn't like me. So when the Amazon shopper position ended, I continued shopping for my food there, because it's the closest market to my house. So the guy sees me there August 28, 2022 (Everything is documented), and he didn't like that. (I don't even know his name).

On that day I talked with an employee named DJ, who unknown to anyone there, also worked for Amazon AND was a coworker of mine at the Amazon location.

She was the only person that I talked to on the floor, a co-worker of mine. Yet, on that night he created a case against me saying that I was there stalking somebody. (I talked with DJ days later, and despite me being accused of stalking, and her being the only person that I talked with on the floor, nobody had talked to her about me or my conversation with her. Yet the guy created a smear case stating that I was stalking somebody.

Dragging the manager and security into confrontations, basically manipulating them while he stays hidden.)

Knowing what was going on, after August 28, for my protection, I recorded each and every single trip that I took to Whole Foods with a hidden Go Pro camera. Everything is completely and utterly documented. (Videos and timestamped text messages.)

A few weeks went by and they finally learned that I do indeed live a 5 minute walk away, and so they can't get me on that. So what do they do now?

They now changed the narrative from me stalking an unknown person, to me invading the space of another employee, VV, who I got along very, very, very well with.

Though this all started on the day that I talked with DJ, they now changed the narrative to say that I invaded VV's space. With VV even saying that she's totally confused by the situation. (She also wished me good luck with the guy trying to ban me.)

So think about that. They tried to get me banned by saying that I was traveling from far away to stalk DJ or a nameless person.

And when they saw that I live a 5 minute walk away, they immediately changed it to me invading VV's space.

So after August 28, when the guy smeared me with stalking, this became a HUGE issue for me. My trips to Whole Foods were not frivolous at all, because of what the guy, with the manager where doing something so psychopathic. You know so many people there, because you worked there for 3 years and you just don't know what kind of smears they are spreading. As such, every single interaction that I had with VV, which were recorded, were about the chubby guy and the manager trying to ban me.

We talked about nothing else, because it's such a huge serious issue and nothing else matters, with like I mentioned earlier, her wishing me good luck with the guy trying to ban me.

So think about that, you have the security people following me around as soon as I walk into the store, my conversations with VV are about the fact that the manager and the chubby guy are trying to ban me. Very quick conversations because these guys are following me around and reviewing the security tapes. At what point am I going to start hitting on VV and invade her space? Someone who I've talked with for many, many hours when I worked there, I've never hit on her, and suddenly as I'm talking to her in a serious manner about the guy trying to ban me, I'm suddenly going to start hitting on her for the first time ever, and get too close to her.

So that the chubby guy and the manager, who are spying on me, and not VV herself, could say that I invaded VV's space.

So I'm writing, because it's been two years, and the contact person in my ban letter has never responded to my emails. And I just cannot let these corrupt people get away with this. What can I do to fix this? How can I get somebody to investigate, in a serious manner, the manager, Jeff the shift leader, and not just take their word just because they are the managers.

As if that automatically makes them pure, trustworthy people. Incapable of being dishonest, manipulative, malicious.

When I worked there, they couldn't do such a thing, because by policy I would have to be involved and defend myself, with words. And they really took advantage that once my position ended I couldn't do that.

So all I ask is for me to have the ability to verbally defend myself and for such allegations to be properly investigated. It's why free speech is so important.

Experience was unacceptable and want to warn potential customers

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I placed an order for grocery delivery. At the expected delivery time I received a text and an email saying my groceries had been delivered.

But they were not outside my door. So I checked the delivery photo and it showed a front door somewhere else at my more than 100 unit multiple building condo development. Not my door. The number on the door was not visible.

I have no way of knowing where those perishable groceries including chicken and fish were delivered. Or when the people who have those groceries outside their door will find them. They could be on vacation. There is no doubt if the bags sit there that animals will find them.

Whole Foods refunded me (all but the tip!) but insisted they could not contact the delivery person to retrieve them. The local Whole Foods store said it had nothing to do with them.

An hour on the phone with robots and someone in another Country gave the same response, We cannot reach anyone to get the groceries picked up. So basically Whole Foods has left rotting food outside a door somewhere that is not my door or unit number and refuses to do anything about it.

Preferred solution: Groceries retrieved and discarded from wrong location where their delivery person left them. Otherwise they will rot and attract animals.

Shopping Experience. gina.5.fs@***.com

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On 5/16/24, 1128a - 1229p. I was shopping at the Whole Foods location located at 13998 Cedar Road in University Heights, Ohio.

While I was looking at a shelf debating whether I wanted to add an item to my grocery list, a black female approached me & asked me for money. I told her, "Get away from me." The black female, (holding a shopping basket of groceries inside of the basket, then threatened me. As she walked away, she said, "We don't need your money." (I don't know & I don't care who "We" are.) & she's lucky that I didn't pepper spray her. I stated that I was going to find a manager to report her.

I walked to a young black male cashier. The black female customer / nuisance then walked to the same checkout line & stated that she was going to bust my head open. At that point, I thought about pepper spraying her but I decided to walk away & tell an older black female cashier who wears eye glasses. The female cashier waved a white male employee over to us who was standing at the customer service desk - possibly the manager.

As I told him what had occurred, the black female nuisance then rushed to a black male security guard. The black male security guard then walked up to me & I told him what had just occurred. He then showed me his badge as I walked him over to where the black female nuisance had approached me. He then walked away as I continued to shop, debating putting my shopping basket down & walking out of Whole Foods permanently.

After I was finished shopping, I sat in the cafe area, (what I usually do).

The black female cashier with eye glasses sat at a table on my left-hand side. I asked her if the black female nuisance was still in the store?

The black female cashier responded that they "put her out."

I have been shopping at Whole Foods Market since they were Wild Oats that was located on Chagrin Blvd., Woodmere, Ohio. I will change that immediately if this is the behavior that I will have to put up with.

I have a bearded dragon as a service animal. She doesn't go on the floor and she doesn't have hair.

She sits on my body, covered up with a blanket, and the woman who told me I couldn't have her in the store is mistaken. She's gentle and doesn't bite. She has a leash and I don't put her on the floor. I think this is disgusting.

I'm upset. I'm a senior citizen and I've never encountered this in my entire life. The other grocery stores don't have a problem with it, nor do shopping centers or places like Earth café or Starbucks. I have taken her to several places.

She is a service animal. I'm very, very upset.

Rude customer service at checkout

Mount pleasant location for Charleston SC. There is a rude woman - several when you check out.

Self checkout as they dont bother to actually have anyone. Then they are rude when something doesnt work

This one is the red haired probably dyed hair - the woman who looks like a man and is always ready to lose a temper. That creature. Worst service.

Do you have to endure bad service to buy groceries?

Then there is a Mexican Latin woman kissing up to a few select customers and treating everyone else badly.

Then there is the nosy fat black wonan who asks way too many personal questions. Which idiot or rude creature do you want to endure today?

These are all women.

It would help if you worked on your English before calling people idiots. It is obvious that you are a man that is bitter because you have no girlfriend, or wife and dislike all women..

Self-checkout needs a hyphen. Same with red-headed and Mexican-Latin.

The word didn't needs an apostrophe. IT is spelled WOMAN no WOMAN.

Didn’t receive refund after physically returning items. Stonewalled, rude management.

Whole Foods Market - Didn’t receive refund after physically returning items. Stonewalled,...

I brought two items I was returning with my receipt and original method of payment that was used they processed the return and I went to go use my card in five minutes later at another store at the Walgreens and it was declined and that was the only transaction that was gonna be going on that card so I walked back in and asked them what is going on Ive never not had to return immediately get put back on my card and they said oh itll just be a couple hours by today I asked them specifically when it would be returned and they couldnt tell me and then she just said that it would be a couple hours and on the website it says several hours for the Whole Foods return to the method of payment so I waited a day and the next day check my method of payment and theres nothing pending. I called my bank.

I have no payments pending and its not. The money was never placed in my account so I returned the products that I purchased I dont have those products anymore I went and spent my time to go into the store and I was treated very rudely by Alex the manager at the Boise location I was Stonewall by him basically he just kept repeating over and over that there was nothing they could do because they processed the return. how about how about have some integrity and and just give it to me in cash I used a debit card and I actually wanted it in cash in the first place. I asked for it in cash and she said they prefer it was it was more of a preference for them to use that the payment to go back on the debit card.

It wouldve been great and I wouldve had this problem. If they wouldve just given me cash its my payment is as good as cash. Theres no reason why they couldnt give it to me that way , so Im gonna say this was very poor customer service and gross incompetence with the merchant along with a lack of accountability and rudeness on the managers part.

never in my life have I ever not received my money immediately on my method of payment when there was return has been processed. Its outrageous and it looks like they think its perfectly fine that I just dont get my money back.

Whoefoods quality really went down hill after Amazon acquired. The delivery service is even worse.

Problems all the time like Items missing, rotten produce, close to outdated items delivered. Amazon will provide a refund.

I use the delivery service so that I don't need to go to the store, but almost every time I end up going to Hannaford or Market Basket to pick up missing/rotten items that were delivered. Poor quality and bad delivery service

Misleading information related to on sale products in White Plains NY 2.28.24

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

White Plains NY 2.28.24. Time 12:46 Visa ending 3943.

Bill value 61.49.

I purchased few items in order to take advantage of the on sale prices that the product label was displaying.

I choose to check out thru the self checking option the store had.

During the scanning time I noticed that the products advertised to be on sale in fact were scanned at full price .

I called for assistance and found out that the sale price had to be manually done by store associates.

The associate changed manually the product cost and offer me the sale price.

I such situations when store prices were different on the label than barcode the store offered the product free to the customer along with apologizes for the inconvenience.

This time the shift manager Rolando refused to apologize as well to offer free the products that were fully marked with the cost but in fact were on sale.

I consider that if I was not paying attention at the check out of each item I would be paying more than the store advertised. The whole situation was misleading.I have the bill with all I punched as well showing the manual corrections of the items on sale.

I request to have all the items I purchased on sale but the store sistem marked them full price to be offered to me free.

I am a customer of this chain stores for many years and this is the first time I feel the need to write this complain all other times the issues were resolved at the store level.

Thank you

I never saw any costumer knocking over any product in the store (Chelsea branch New York, NY) he is doing that every night delaying lines, blocking the cookies stands hurting the store by blocking baking goods, and showing no respect to costumers.

Empty shelves

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

WF, ever since Amazon bought them has had empty shelves. You go shopping to buy your products and you get there and the shelves are empty.

You go back the next day, the shelf is still empty. You ask when the item will be in, nobody knows. Grocery stores used to keep a little bit of backstock in the store in case the shelves would go empty, they could replentish until the next shipment came in. Amazon did away with backstock.

And if the product is out, it's out. And sometimes it takes days or even weeks to come back into stock.

Their empty backroom idea obviously is not working and somewhere, the backend is obviously failing because it's not reordering a delivery of the product. And the fact that no date can be given when a customer asks when it will be back in, is ridiculous!

I listed an unlisted phone # because I want a response by email. That's obviously not my #.

Updated by user Nov 14, 2023

No contact yet with Corporate. Contacted service center.

I'll give details of the obsessive behavior to the Supervisor who contacts me. Again, this is about a MA location, not TX. TX is the HQ & I want someone to address this from HQ. Because the local manager was being resistant to helping.

Both these employees have approached me or my whereabouts in the store repeatedly acting in ways to get my attention. The first one that was dealt w/ definitely had a mental disability but this one is an older female who's probably projecting, knowing she's doing it, & won't take ownership of her problems.

OR could be mentally disabled but I don't need to know what her problems are this just needs to be addressed. Have a Supervisor contact me immediately from HQ.

Original review Nov 02, 2023
If someone has issues they're projecting on customers. Esp.

if it's one person or specific people that they intend to, they're not suitable to be working w/ the public even if their problems are considered a "mental disability". Regardless of whether this "employee" has a mental disorder or not, I already had to report someone else who did & it was known to other employees & they dealt w/ it. The problem is, that the "manager" I spoke to did not address the other problem & this "employee" was definitely repeatedly acting unprofessional towards me in an obsessive compulsive way that I'll mention to Whole Foods Corporate so they can make sure it's dealt w/; there's no excuse for it & he only didn't believe me because I'd had a previous complaint & they have no camera in that part of the store. It would be easily visible on tape.

So I want a Corporate Supervisor to get back to me to address this immediately. There's no excuse for it. I'm also requesting a male Supervisor is in contact w/ me. That's my preference & there must be multiple ones who deal w/ escalated complaints.

I WANT A RESPONSE RIGHT NOW!! BY EMAIL!! NOTE: The location I listed is closest to the 550 Bowie St.

Austin, TX 78703 Corporate HQ & that's why I listed it. It happened in MA, not TX.

Poor Customer Service by a Delicatessen Associate at Whole Food

On December 1, 2023 at approximately 17:30 hrs at your Whole Food at One Wall Street in New York, NY: I went to the delicatessen section to order Roast Beef and I properly waited in the the line as a customer was being served. The tall delicatessen Associate disrespected me by serving two other customers who came to the counter after me, but serving them first ahead of me

I couldn't believe what had taken place.

I did not do anything to the associate or say anything negative. I only said I was next after she started serving the newly arrived customer's and totally disrespected me and disregarded my presence.

I have retained my shopping Whole Food receipt for other shopping items as I left the Delicatessen highly offended and did other purchases.
