On August 2, 2020 , in Henderson NV, I was harassed by your team (BRIAN) to wear a mask even though I explained I am exempt by LAW for Disabilities, medical condition. I have shopped mask free for over a decade and suddenly harassed and violated my civil rights under our federal and ADA laws.

the law states Nevada Equal Rights Commission

Public Accommodations

All persons are entitled to the full and equal enjoyment of places of public accommodation without discrimination or segregation because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression.

Places of "public accommodation" include any establishment or place to which the public is invited or which is intended for public use, such as:

hotels, restaurants, bars, gas stations, casinos, theatres

retail stores, banks, barber/beauty shops, hospitals/clinics

offices of accountants, lawyers, doctors, insurance agents

airports, bus or train depots

bowling alleys, amusement parks, zoos, stadiums, convention centers

parks, health clubs/spas, educational institutions, social service providers

any nursery, private school, university or any other place of education

Places of public accommodation DO NOT include any private club or other establishment not open to the public. I left the, store and called the local police. They advised me to file a complaint with the ADA and state. May I strongly suggest that you educate your employees on the LEGAL issues regarding exemption from mask wearing due to religious or medical conditions and to take responsibility to stop harassment from your hired help who can be held personally liable for these offenses.

When I asked if they provided a mask free accommodation they said NO. I suggest you offer shopping to patrons that cannot wear a mask without the restraint of harassment and technology other than the provision to shop freely without harassment in your stores by employees or shoppers.

User's recommendation: Be advised of the Civil rights.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Whole Foods Market Pros: Convenient.

Whole Foods Market Cons: Inconsistent quality and pricing.

They are in violation of civil code and if you are exempt you may want to consider legal action. I am sorry you are experiencing this as so many are now.

They must open access to ALL regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, and medical issues. Nobody can ask you about your medical history as per the HIPPA laws now in effect. First violation is $75,0000.

Only a LICENSED medical professional can advise you. Know your rights.

Wear a face shield, Karen. It doesnโ€™t constrict your breathing whatsoever so no excuses

Donโ€™t recite law this and regulation that boomer Karen. You can sit in the parking lot.

If you had someone to enforce all you profess you would have called them.

Otherwise open your own store. Turn your ac on in the parking lot Karen.
