Whole Foods put me thru a three interview process and intensive " training" which consisted of very little training and a whole lot of talking. Register training was " here do this" with no explanation and after two days, you were left on your own with the explanation...

I need a lawyer. I was just fired from WF for stealing time, being unable to accurately account about my whereabouts.

This was due to the fact I was having a panic attack. I have an accommodation with full medical disclosure for this exact situation. Anyone have a lawyer recommendation for ADA, wrongful firing, bullying/harassment.

Failure on WF to follow their disciplinary procedures according to their handbook. I've been turned down by lawyers because it's whole foods...

Wow! I am so sorry to read your terrible experience at Whole Food-Massachusetts must be a terrible place.

Why don’t you move to California, Southern California to be exact where the climate is nice and people are polite, friendly and beautiful? Good living calm tranquil and mellow people.

Must be the air…Cities in the OC are great, in Los Angeles; the Westwood area, anything west of the 405 freeway, in the valley west of Calabasas, Thousand oaks, or even Culver City, or near Dwt LA in Pasadena, the SGV, or the San Fernando Valley or even the Inland Empire, you’ll love it. Good Luck to you and stay safe.

Show ID for purchase of beer. I am 78 yrs old !!

I went to the Hadley,MA store to use a gift certificate and going through the pay out line with a 12 pack of beer the female clerk asked me for my ID. I asked her if she was 21 and she said yes. I then asked her if I looked older then her and she said yes. I then asked her why I must show my ID? She said something like I have to show it on the sales slip. I pulled out my wallet and she really never looked at it with any ability to see if it was me and my birth-date. IT was an insult and showed a lack of common sense and a lack of good judgement> Why do your employees ask people who could be their grandfather to have to be subjected to this kind of *** policy? No other store or in our shopping area does this to the elderly other then Whole Food Market. Please give me reason why you do this. I will NEVER go to Whole Foods again unless they change this policy and use some common sense.

Oh, cry me a river. Please do everyone a favor and don't go back to that Whole Foods if you're going to have a snit at an innocent employee who is DOING HER JOB and following the rules.

Was it really that much of an inconvenience for you? Your life must be really hard if you couldn't summon up the strength to pry open your wallet and take out your ID.

You get no sympathy from me.

I work at the Whole Foods in Wellesley and can confirm that it is company policy to ask everybody purchasing age-restricted items for ID. No exceptions.

Yes, it is ***. Yes, we are aware that you are above the age of 21.

We have to make a show of it for the cameras. If we get caught not doing it, we can get fired.

#1093389

This kind of stupidity only happens in America.

#1093334

You should have just left everything on the counter and walked out. I have done this twice in stores in the past 10 years.

They do this because they are scared of selling to minors and thus treat everyone the same, regardless of any common sense.

Any store that requires me to show ID at my age doesn't need my business. Why shop at a store exhibiting such stupidity?

Rude Employee at Bethesda location`

I tried to return a kids liquid fish oil from your store. I tried to return bc my children did not want to try it. It was unopened and clearly sealed. The customer service person accused me of lying that I did not get it from the store. I showed the manager the item on your shelves which is not carried anywhere else. Your 10 year plus policy of returning items changed 6 days ago to require receipt. The item was clearly not opened. Store manager said that there was nothing he could do for me and I needed to go home and search through bags of receipts...even for a store credit. You should know that I shop at this location several times a week and purchase thousands of dollars worth of merchandise per year. I WAS TREATED SO BADLY THAT I WILL NEVER RETURN TO WHOLE FOODS TO PURCHASE ANYTHING AGAIN... IT WAS THAT BAD....

Whole Foods Market - Manager Review from Hardinsburg, Kentucky

Call 2 weeks ahead of time to order 2 fresh Bell Evans ducks for Christmas. I live 50 miles away from Whole Foods in Louisville Kentucky. Went to pick my ducks up 2 days before Christmas. The manager of the meat department brought out to me 2 FROZEN DUCKS by a company I had never heard of. Also the manager in the meat dept had a very bad attitude. WHAT HAS HAPPEN TO THE QUALITY OF SERVICE AT WHOLE FOODS?

Whole foods San Rafael, Ca meat department

I tried to buy short ribs 40 minutes before the close and the butcher didn't want to cut the long ribs - marked as short ribs because he already cleaned the machine. He cuts them under protest and gives me a number of short ribs that are nearly all bone at $9 a pound! None would ever buy the ribs that we're all bone which I guess is why they only sold them in long form and only cut them after weighing them. I really try to avoid whole foods now because of the service - ridiculous prices and poor service.

No Southern hospitality tonight in the Reno Whole Foods Meat Dept.

I first had the pleasure of shopping at a Whole Foods while living in New Orleans. I enjoyed the consistent high quality of the products I purchased there, but enjoyed the quality of the service even more. Tonight, at Reno Whole Foods, the guy who waited on me in the meat department had "checked out" before I ever arrived. He couldn't have been less interested in my needs, never once made eye contact with me and answered my "thank you" with silence. Maybe he needs to spend a little time in Louisiana or Texas (where the store originated) to learn how to treat a customer. We pay a premium to shop at Whole Foods. We should get a decent attitude from the people who work there to go along with the high quality foods. The date of my visit was October 24th and the time was 9;15 pm (2115)

Southerners are all about being ackowledged thats for sure. Why do you personalize?

As long as i get what im ordering it makes no difference to me if i get any words much less thank you. Im not trying to make friends and i dont know you. If you dont have social skills thats your issue.

I got what i ordered and im outta here. By the way im from Texas :)

Whole Foods Market Work Experience Review from Charlestown, Massachusetts

I have worked at whole foods in Milford for 1 year and i was on the *** of being fired because i called out my child was very sick . The following day i had to leave early to bring my child to his pediatrician and was put on a final because of my so called bad attendance. I work very hard and that was just a slap in the face i abide by all WFM policies and got treated like ***. They dont give a *** about the employees all they care for are these *** rude *** customers that steal from them , verbally abuse team members and get free *** as a reward. Don't ever apply for the Milford store its not worth the money they use and abuse u for their own company needs then hang you out to dry. I hate this company it was so miserable working there and my own team leader was very disrespectful to my 1yr old and it was under investigation so they say and still nothing was done!!!!

Whole Foods Market Staff Review from Charlestown, Massachusetts

Whole foods market in MILFORD is the worst *** store to shop in. The front end has the rudest employees and the supervisors don't make it any better. They rip you off and change their policies way too often without any notice. Also some employees are very nice but yet they get treated like *** from leadership because of the rude *** customers that shop in that store.

This page seems to have a political agenda, Although, I thing Whole Foods is a bunch of hog wash, there is a bent right spewing of emotions here. Whole Foods is overpriced, and probiotics which are refrigerated are the biggest scam as the bacteria have been pasteurized. The only way to repopulate a messed up system is making your own yogurt.

Drinking wine on the premises

I sat in the dining area and to my surprise there was a man at a close by table drinking wine and no food. He had just begun the bottle. I came back later to finish my snack and the man was still there and at that point he had consumed most of the bottle of wine. His face was red and he looked intoxicated. I went to the manager to check out the store's policy re. drinking wine on the premises. I was told that Whole Foods allowed customers to drink wine that they purchased there. And that if they found out that a customer had consumed a full bottle of wine they had purchased there they would not sell them a second bottle that day. This was at the store on First Street in Sarasota Florida. I would like for Whole Foods to not allow customers to uncap and drink wine in the store or any in part of the premises.

I never thought about that. You cant drink on 7 11 premises or liquor store premises but you sure can at whole foods.

Im in texas . Happens all of the time. In 20 years i never noticed that until i read your post.

Im going to find out why thats allowed. I agree with you:)

Whole Foods Market - Manager Review from Colorado Springs, Colorado

my wife was fired from here because she accidentally used my card instead of hers to pay! w/ her discount card! she even realized after and she called and talk to a manager and they said it should be ok since you called!!! you being the key word!! whole foods is a good company to work for-- not!!! we have been together for 7 years and have lived together for all of it and your going to fire a good employee for using their husbands card. (by the way she is on my account as a authorized user) crooks they are !! nobody should be fired for a mistake they made and pointed out to the companies management right away ! she worked at home on projects and process for the company any never got complimented on that but they will fire you for the smallest thing! ill take my shopping somewhere else and so will the rest of my extended family... nobody should work for someone for 3+ years as a manager and get fired for something like this! wow!! whole foods = no respect for anyone who wants to talk about it 719964****

Bad Security

Customer service from these guys is very bad. I have been a loyal customer of Wholefoods in Camden, London for a couple of years, and like you have spent thousands there. Recently they employed a security guy, who has the charm of Hitler and absolutely no idea when it comes to dealing with customers. He is on soem CIA fantasy trip! Anyhow, he started to stalk me, and made me feel like a shop lifter. Basically an unpleasant piece of work. I complained to the management by email, about 10 days ago and still haven't received a reply. So, they have lost a customer here - shall be going to Planet Organic from now on. It's actually much better and cheaper btw ! So screw them, they are only concerned about making money.
